Concessions
Utility Shop manages pension concessions for the utility services we offer.
If you’re a Utility Shop customer and eligible for a South Australian Government energy concession, you can apply for a new concession or transfer your existing one directly through ConcessionsSA once you receive your first Utility Shop bill.
Energy and Medical Concessions

Eligible conditions include those that cause significant heat intolerance or cold sensitivity — for example, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, or autonomic dysfunction.
To apply, you must:
Meet the standard energy concession eligibility criteria.
Provide certification from a registered medical professional confirming the qualifying condition.
Reside at and be financially responsible for the energy costs at your principal address.
